Vickie was born in Baytown, Texas, and raised in Vista, California. She is a compassionate and dedicated with over 25 years of experience in swim instruction and a strong background in education and mental health advocacy. With a passion for supporting individuals
through life's most challenging moments, Vickie specializes in assisting individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly students and families navigating difficult circumstances. Believing in the power of connection, empathy, and advocacy, Vickie is
committed to helping others overcome obstacles and achieve healing and resilience.
Throughout Vickie's career, she has worked closely with students in special education, developing a deep understanding of how trauma impacts mental health and learning. In her current role as a Victim Advocate and Peer Support Specialist, Vickie continues to
provide advocacy, emotional support, and practical guidance to those in need. She is particularly passionate about working with trauma survivors, equipping them with the tools and resources to regain stability and thrive.
A lifelong learner, Vickie holds a bachelor's degree in business management and a master's in educational studies from the University of Phoenix. Her diverse background in education, special education, and mental health advocacy has helped shape her ability
to create supportive environments for individuals of all ages, fostering resilience and healing.
Outside of work, Vickie enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her husband of over 25 years, three children, and an ever-growing extended family. Passionate about life skills, Vickie is a strong advocate for teaching swimming, believing that
every person deserves the opportunity to feel empowered and confident in all areas of life.
