Joyce
Lead Advocate
Born in Killeen, Texas, and raised across Germany and Arizona, Joyce grew up embracing a rich tapestry of traditions and cultures that shaped her open-minded perspective and empathetic nature. After high school, she moved to California, where she discovered her passion for helping others. This newfound calling eventually led her back to Arizona, where she embarked on her journey as an advocate for individuals in need.
Joyce began her career by drawing from her own lived experiences to take a course in suicide prevention, which deepened her understanding of resilience and healing, and led her to explore the transformative field of peer support. Her dedication to making a difference inspired her to become a Certified Life Coach, using her skills to empower others to overcome challenges and lead fulfilling lives.
Joyce’s most cherished role is being a mother to her 12-year-old son, Hector, who shares her love of sports, playing basketball, baseball and football. Guided by her mission to instill values of respect, kindness, and independence in her son, Joyce leads by example, balancing her roles as a mother, advocate, and community leader.
